River Hunt (born 14 Febraury 1980 in Warwickshire) is an English fine artist, photographer and writer.
- "Imagery that quite literally cuts through the canvas and stabs you in the eyes" Philip R. Lucas
River Hunt studied Fine Arts at University in Leceister, although many of his childhood years were spent developing the highly imaginative style he is known for today.
His early work consists mainly of surrealist drawings and paintings depicting obscure yet intricate fantasy characters, influenced by publications such as 2000AD. This subject matter would later merge with a darker, figurative syle after attending a 'both simultaneously frightening and enlightening' Francis Bacon exhibition at Tate Britain.
